[][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][] Date: Fri, 12 May 89 21:38:45 EDT From: Mike Godfrey <migod@csri.toronto.edu> Subject: Life, indeed, rarely begins on CD Well faced with the uncertainty of not knowing whether or not "Life Begins at the Hop" was on the Canadian CD version of "Drums and Wires", I had to go out and settle it (actually it was merely a good excuse to make me complete my XTC CD collection). Well, the CD in question is from Virgin UK, not Virgin Canada (which you may recall has its own version of Skylarking distinct from UK Virgin and US Geffen), which means that (a) it claims (on both the liner notes and the CD label) to have twelve cuts including LBATH and (b) it actually contains 14 cuts but not one of them is LBATH. Also, there is no lyric sheet. Let's hope that when (not if!) Geffen gets around to issuing their version, they include 15 cuts (with LBATH) and a full set of lyrics.
