I had a question about the track "Inhale" (quite the Dukesian romp) from Mike's "Wine and Pickles" compilation and I mentioned the XTC/Dukesness of the track and that I was REALLY looking forward to the release of Mike & Andy's collaboration. Amongst other things, Scott said that despite Andy having sung on the demos, he is not comfortable with his singing voice (a recent development?) and that basically Andy will be producing Mike. There was no info on what sort of release it will be or when it might appear. Upchalkingly, Scott Nuckles

If you want to know why Barry Andrews thought the original intro to the song was "too fucking arty," or who Andy's pen pal was in those early days, check out the XTCfans blog site at http://blog.myspace.com/xtcfans. And all the kids are complaining That there's nowhere to go... -Todd

Message-ID: <27892142-DA38-4F5B-A05A-3C927B0E5037@loquaciousmusic.com> Hi gang, I had the pleasure of hosting fellow Chalkhillian Jim Smart and one of his colleagues at my actual place of employment today. (Jim is a sixth-grade teacher, just like I am, and he stopped by my school as part of a New York/Connecticut tour.) It's always nice meeting one of our fellow subscribers face-to-face and finding out that he isn't an axe murderer! -Ben

If you ain't got it and her second album ' god's empty chair' as well you are truly doing a disservice to your ears. Thanks for the audio pleasures Becki! Looking forward to the next round. Mole PS: Sure glad they got the strike over with so they could get back to making quality music.
