In any case, fans of 25 O'Clock should check out Space Shanty by Khan. Not to mention all the other bands of note in the below articles. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dave_Stewart_%28keyboardist%29 http://calyx.perso.neuf.fr/mus/stewart_dave.html - Steve

For those from further afield, the video for Talking Pretty (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K4VhnXRGI6U) is an uplifiting bounce from Old Town into Swindon Town Centre. Best /chris

Message-ID: <11914E26-F3B9-43F3-B570-541897036F10@earthlink.net> 'hillians of the chalk, just a note to let you all know that my new album is just around the corner. it's a psychedelic album and will be under the band name "the liquid scene." we've only a handful of tracks to lay down (i've been practicing my sitar), then the mixing fun begins. if all goes well it should be out and pressed by late next month. and here is where -you- come in. would you like to add a track to one of the songs on the album?? here's what we need you to do: record a 30-second digital track of a *ticking clock* -- this can be a wind-up clock, a grandfather clock (that'd be cool), or even a very loud wristwatch. the key here is that it be ticking. the track needs to be clean, ie: no other sounds in the background. no tv, no kiddies, no snoring dawgs. just a ticking clock. if you happen to have two good ones, record two separate tracks. if you've an iphone you can use the "voice memos" app, this actually works quite well. then send this to me in a message via the band facebook page we have set up -- search for "the liquid scene" and while you're there please go ahead and "like" the page. there are some photos up there, updates, and as soon as we get the mixes done i'll put a tune up there while the cd's are being pressed. doug mcdonald is once again doing the artwork, and if all goes well it'll be one cool visionary experience. thanks to everyone who's kept in touch, bought my albums, come to see me play, and shared our xtc connection through the years. peace, --becki
